Taking place July 21st, the Volcano Downhill is a lift access mountain bike race at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park. Starting at the top of Douglas, the course features several man made and natural features along with plenty of drops and banks as you traverse 1.5 miles over a 1400 foot vertical drop. The second event in the Volcano series at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park is the Volcano Mud Run. A 5k course featuring 10 obstacles will challenge all on August 4th. Prizes in all divisions including best time overall, best male, best female, and best team dress or theme. A $50 early entry fee through July 4th includes t-shirt and custom dog tags.
